Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC field technician in the United States to troubleshoot, install, commission, and maintain control systems for mechanical, electrical, and low‑voltage components across client facilities.

You will respond to service calls, provide clear technical guidance, and propose improvements to improve building efficiency. The role offers growth within a global organization and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Vocational schooling or associate degree with HVAC focus.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and applications.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and use testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, commission, and maintain HVAC control systems.
• Respond to service and warranty calls using Johnson Controls tools.
• Provide frontline technical and repair support via clear communication with customers.
• Recommend system repairs and improvements to customers.
• Be part of an expanding technician team and grow with Johnson Controls.
• Provide high-level service to resolve building inefficiencies and issues.
• Learn and take responsibility for system troubleshooting and aftermarket services.
• Load field and network level controller software; perform diagnostics.
• Keep stakeholders informed of progress and issues.
• Document changes for as-built records.
