Job summary

Johnson Controls in Irving, TX is seeking a Controls Systems Technician to perform system commissioning and service on HVAC control systems. You will load controller software, diagnose system issues, and document commissioning results.

The role emphasizes safety and customer-first service with a focus on improving building efficiency. The position requires an electronics/mechanical HVAC related degree or equivalent experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to program HVAC

Qualifications

• Vocational School four year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field plus three years of industry experience or 1 year experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
• PC experience required and the ability to program HVAC related software.
• Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.
• Troubleshoots and resolves basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems.
• Responds to basic warranty calls and provides solutions to improve building efficiency.
• Loads system-level controller software, performs commissioning and system diagnostics from controllers to end devices.
• Completes administrative tasks and documents changes for as-built documentation.
