Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled technician to perform system commissioning and basic diagnostics on HVAC control systems. You will load controller software, calibrate equipment, document progress, and communicate with customers on-site to ensure efficient building operation.

The role emphasizes safety, proper escalation, and the ability to explain technical information to diverse audiences while providing quotes for recommended improvements.

Qualifications

• Vocational School four-year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field plus three years of industry experience or 1 year experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
• Generally required knowledge includes HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
• Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.
• Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people. Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on a job site.
• PC experience required and the ability to program HVAC related software.

Responsabilités

• Performs assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.
• Troubleshoots basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems and responds to warranty calls.
• Provides customers with high level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service items.
• Loads system-level controller software and completes commissioning documentation.
• Keeps management and customers informed of job progress and issues.
• Calibrates systems using basic electronic test equipment and documents changes.
• Completes administrative tasks such as time sheets and on-site documentation.
• Documents changes for as-built documentation and communicates upon arrival and departure.
• Suggests recommendations to improve facility efficiency and prepares quotes.
