Job summary

Brady Services, a leading Trane independent office, seeks an HVAC Controls Technician to program, checkout, and train owners on Building Automation projects in central and eastern North Carolina. This role involves coordinating with subcontractors, documenting system performance, and supporting ongoing project work while maintaining Brady’s service standards.

Qualifications

Associates degree in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, Computer Science, or related field.
3+ years of related experience.
Knowledge and understanding of BACnet, LonTalk and Modbus; familiarity with Ethernet, TCP/IP, IP networks and infrastructure.
Experience with building automation brands such as Trane, Tridium, Teletrol; other manufacturers considered.
Proficiency with computers and MS Office; mobile devices.
Proficiency with maintenance tools, connected login, and operation renderings.
Must pass drug screening.
US employment eligibility required; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Configure, setup, and calibrate end devices on factory or field-installed hardware.
Create and program site databases.
Verify system performance using checkout documentation from engineering.
Troubleshoot BAS communications and LAN issues.
Provide technical assistance to installation subcontractors as needed.
Assist in diagnosing BAS and system problems remotely or on-site.
Maintain project notes and documentation for As-Built drawings.
