Full job description Hamlin Air Conditioning & Sheet Metal Inc, was founded in 1964, and has become one of central Georgia's leading HVAC system and service contractors. Our industry-leading team offers full in‑house fabrication, welding, and construction of custom HVAC systems. We also house a sheet metal shop with advanced machinery and tools, as well as a service department committed to providing long‑term care and results for all your HVAC needs. We keep our team members up to date on the best standards of practice, and we strive to ensure our client's needs are met in a timely and affordable manner. Based out of our Macon, GA facility and reporting to the Controls Manager, the Control System Technician is responsible for completing tasks as assigned by his/her supervisor and the project manager responsible for associated projects. These tasks include but are not limited to programming, start‑up, troubleshooting, commissioning and servicing of Building Automation Systems (BAS) controlling and monitoring commercial building HVAC equipment. This person should also maintain open communications, deliver top quality workmanship, develop customer relationships, and complete tasks/projects timely. The Control System Technician will receive support from the General Manager, Project Manager and other office personnel. Prevailing wages paid with Federal Government project work.
Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including electronic and diagnostic tools, recovery equipment, and various other plumbing equipment. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials. This position requires stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those of medium work.
This job operates primarily alone and travels to different work sites each day. May work in tight spaces, typically indoors, but may work outside in poor weather conditions. Vehicles are used as the base of operations.
