About This Role

As an HVAC Controls Technician, you will be crucial to ALC’s business through field commissioning of building automation systems tailored to each customer. We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, customer-focused team member who acts as a role model for other engineers. You will solve complex problems, lead training for less experienced engineers, and serve as a technical expert in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems utilizing advanced Direct Digital Control technology.
• Serve as local contact for technical issues.
• Offer effective solutions for complex system issues.
• Deliver turnkey projects on medium to large scales.
• Ensure proper operation of systems, controls, sensors, and software.
• Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports.
• Manage time effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Communicate and document project status and details for the customer.
• Provide site-specific training to owners/operators on the system.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience in Building Automation, HVAC, or related technical fields.
• Ability to climb ladders or use lift equipment over 8 feet and lift items up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable by the company.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree, or technical diploma in HVAC, Controls, or related fields.
• Proficiency with building automation software like WebCTRL and control installation.
• Ability to navigate various building automation systems.
• Expertise with TCP/IP networks, including wireless tech.
• Experience managing multiple challenges across disciplines.
• Ability to communicate technical info to non-technical audiences.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365.

Pay Range: $76,516 - $107,122 annually.
