Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC controls technician to design hardware and program software for building management systems. You will prepare submittals, drawings, and schedules, coordinate material orders, and assist in commissioning the system with subcontractors and field teams.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in Metasys installations, strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems, and proficiency with CAD/Visio.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience with installing and/or commissioning Metasys systems and system-level controllers.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude and advanced computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Design hardware and program software for HVAC control systems per project requirements.
• Prepare submittals, drawings, and equipment schedules for installation.
• Coordinate material orders and factory mounting to meet schedules and assist in commissioning.
• Create as-built drawings and documentation of the system and provide owner/operator training.
