Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Controls Systems Designer to design and program HVAC control systems under supervision in the United States. You will translate project requirements into hardware, software, submittals, and installation docs while supporting commissioning and warranty response.

Responsibilities include selecting hardware, preparing submittals, programming, and coordinating drawings and manuals. Basic safety, communication, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• University degree with 1 year min experience, or 2-year degree with 6 years min experience, or equivalent combination.
• Experience with installing and/or commissioning controls systems, including system-level controllers.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude.
• Demonstrated advanced computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC control system hardware and software using established standards and the project requirements.
• Prepare detailed submittals and documentation communicating design and operation to customers and field teams.
• Perform software programming based on established standards and project needs.
• Coordinate creation of drawings, equipment schedules, and operation manuals.
• Assist with loading and commissioning system-level/controllers and troubleshoot issues.
