Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Service Technician for the College Station, TX area. You will perform system commissioning using JCI tools, troubleshoot basic HVAC mechanical/electrical issues, respond to warranty calls, and provide customers with practical, high‑level service to improve building efficiency.

On-site work includes loading controller software, diagnosing system controllers, and documenting changes.

Qualifications

• HVAC controls knowledge and facilities management systems understanding.
• Ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical people.
• Leadership skills to support mechanics on a job site and coordinate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.
• Troubleshoot basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls issues.
• Respond to basic warranty calls and provide solutions to improve building efficiency.
• Load system-level controller software and document commissioning results.
• Communicate progress with customers and management; ensure safety practices are followed.
• Provide quotes for recommended improvements and document as-built changes.

Education

Associate degree or Vocational program in electronics/mechanical systems/air conditioning or similar
