Job summary

The HVAC Controls Requirements Engineer at Stellantis will own the development and management of HVAC control software and calibration requirements for next‑gen vehicles. You will translate customer and system needs into clear, testable requirements and drive alignment across software, calibration, validation, and supplier teams to deliver climate comfort and energy efficiency.

You will lead requirements reviews, manage changes, ensure traceability, and continuously improve engineering practices

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering or related field.
5+ years of automotive engineering experience.
Experience with requirements development and systems engineering in automotive contexts.
Familiarity with CAN and LIN networks and vehicle interactions.
Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Own HVAC controls feature requirements and maintain integrity through development.
Develop clear, testable, traceable requirements for climate, energy, and thermal control.
Ensure end-to-end traceability from vehicle to software and calibration releases.
Collaborate across software, calibration, validation, program, and suppliers.
Lead requirements reviews, change management, and configuration management.
Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and risks; drive resolution across lifecycle.
Support root cause investigations by evaluating coverage and performance.
Capture lessons learned and improve requirements processes.
