Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Programmer to join our team in the Hartford, CT area. This role focuses on programming, integrating, and supporting building automation systems, with emphasis on Tridium Niagara platforms.

You will work on commercial projects, developing control logic, configuring BAS, debugging, and collaborating with project managers and field teams. Training and mentoring junior staff are also part of the role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with Tridium Niagara (N4 preferred).
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and control sequences.
• Experience with DDC systems, BACnet, and networked controls.
• Ability to read and interpret control drawings and sequences of operation.
• Comfortable working independently and collaborating with a team.

Responsibilities

• Program and configure BAS systems using Tridium Niagara (N4 preferred).
• Translate sequences of operation and as-built drawings into functional control logic.
• Integrate multiple control systems (open and proprietary) into Niagara front-end platforms.
• Develop and modify graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for system visualization.
• Support system startup, commissioning, and software upgrades.
• Troubleshoot DDC systems, controllers, and communication networks.
• Coordinate with project managers, field teams, and service staff to support project execution.
• Work with customer IT teams to establish and maintain network connectivity.
• Track programming progress, deadlines, and hours for assigned projects.
• Communicate directly with customers regarding system performance, issues, and recommended improvements.
• Provide training to end users on system operation and front-end navigation.
• Assist in mentoring junior team members as needed.
