Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC field service technician to troubleshoot, install, commission, and maintain control systems across commercial buildings. You will handle electrical and low-voltage components, perform diagnostics, and ensure system efficiency while communicating with clients.

Qualifications

• Vocational School program or associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field plus three years of industry experience in servicing electrical, electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
• Understanding of HVAC systems, sequence and applications
• Able to use hand, power tools and electrical testing equipment such as a multimeter.
• Solid knowledge of personal computer use.
• Attention to detail and good communication/listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC control systems troubleshooting, installation, commissioning and preventative maintenance for mechanical, electrical, and low voltage controls components.
• Respond to service and warranty calls using Johnson Controls tools and configuration methods.
• Provide front line technical and repair support and communicate with customers.
• Provide repair/update recommendations and assist in proposing solutions to customers.
