Job summary

Johnson Controls Federal Systems is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service HVAC controls and BAS for the Pentagon, focusing on learning and growth within a critical facilities environment.

The role supports Johnson Controls Metasys/Distech systems, offers a day shift (6:30am–3:00pm), a company vehicle with gas card, and travel limited to the Pentagon. Benefits start on day one, with generous vacation, sick days, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial/industrial building technologies including HVAC controls, Fire Alarm, Security, and metering.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• U.S. citizen able to obtain/maintain required government clearances.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, commissioning of HVAC/BAS systems.
• Conduct training and obtain certifications for product lines.
• Diagnose and repair electronic/digital control malfunctions.
• Test and modify system software as needed.
• Document field changes for engineering drawings and procedures.
• Provide customer training and manuals for control systems.
