Leoforce is seeking an HVAC Controls Engineer – Building Automation in Columbus, OH, offering a hybrid work option. The role focuses on designing HVAC and building automation systems, creating layouts and wiring diagrams, and preparing submittals and O&M documentation.

Mid-level experience is desired with a strong eye for detail. The position includes collaboration with project managers, engineers, and field teams, enabling cross-functional integration across systems and ongoing project support.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC controls or building automation system design.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar design tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and building automation control systems based on project plans.
• Create system layouts, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
• Prepare submittals, as-builts, and O&M documentation.
• Select control devices and ensure designs meet project specifications.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams.

What You’ll Do

• Design HVAC and building automation control systems based on project plans
• Create system layouts, wiring diagrams, and control drawings
• Prepare submittals, as-builts, and O&M documentation
• Select control devices and ensure designs meet project specifications
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams
• Support integration across HVAC, lighting, access control, and related systems
• Assist with BAS graphics and system interface development

What We’re Looking For

• Experience with HVAC controls or building automation system design
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar design tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
• Degree in Engineering or related field preferred
