Job summary

Open Control Systems, part of the Envelop Group, seeks a Controls Project Manager to oversee projects from sales turnover to closeout in Central Florida, including Orlando and Space Coast. You will supervise design, permits, materials, labor, and field installation while visiting sites to drive on-schedule execution and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities include building plans, coordinating procurement, managing budgets, and leading meetings with customers and teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent.
Ability to read mechanical drawings, control schematics, and sequences.
Understanding of HVAC fundamentals and BACnet networks.
Experience planning, budgeting, and managing change orders.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain project plans covering scope, budget, timeline, materials, and resources.
Lead pre-construction planning and develop schedules with risk coverage.
Procure materials, equipment, and subcontractors to protect margins.
Review work against contracts and startup sequences; coordinate field actions.
Escalate risks, handle RFIs and change orders; communicate with all stakeholders.
Lead meetings and report project status to customers and internal teams.
Ensure turnover aligns with proposals and provide feedback to sales.
Manage cash flow, invoicing, and resource planning.
Keep project docs accurate; support service handoff and training.
