Job summary

sstjobs is seeking an Assistant Project Manager/Account Manager to support selling and managing service projects and repairs in HVAC controls and building automation. Located in Atlanta, GA, the role links client needs with technical execution, ensuring high-quality service and timely communication throughout each project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in construction, BAS, HVAC, or controls support roles
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems and building controls
• Ability to read plans and specifications (training provided)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office and MS Projects; ERP or project software a plus

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand their building automation goals, system performance issues, and long-term objectives
• Address potential concerns early and maintain strong, trust-based relationships
• Deliver exceptional service that fosters long-term customer retention and referrals
• Identify opportunities to offer additional products (Service and projects) and upgrades during site visits or reviews
• Coordinate with account managers to maintain key relationships
• Serve as a key point of contact between clients, technicians, and internal teams
• Provide regular updates on milestones, service status, and roadblocks
• Create clear, detailed proposals including scope, exclusions, and pricing breakdowns
• Track project progress and manage timelines and deliverables
• Invoice jobs accurately and in a timely manner
• Document QA/QC and closeout information
• Support data analysis and performance tracking to identify future opportunities
• Stay informed on controls trends and market standards
