Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a hardware and software professional to design and program HVAC control systems in line with project requirements. Under supervision, you will communicate design data to customers, field teams, and subcontractors, and assist in on-site commissioning and warranty responses.

You will select hardware from standard libraries, perform programming, and help prepare drawings, schedules, and as-built documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience with installing and/or commissioning Johnson Controls Metasys systems including system-level controllers, and working knowledge and experience using Metasys Tools: RAC schedule, CCT, SCT, Visio.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude.
• Demonstrated advanced computer skills required, particularly computer-related drafting tools.

Responsibilities

• Design hardware and software for HVAC control systems per project requirements.
• Provide submittals and communicate design/operation to customers, field teams and subcontractors.
• Assist in loading/commissioning system and network-level controllers and validate system function.
• Create as-built drawings and software from field changes; prepare operation documentation.
• Coordinate drawings, equipment schedules, and submittals; manage material delivery.
• Maintain safety standards and report progress to management.
