Job summary

Building Controls & Services Inc., a member of the AIR Control Concepts family, is seeking an Applications Engineer to coordinate with the outside sales team to promote, estimate, and quote our product lines.

Based in Wichita, KS, the role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related experience, 1–3 years in engineering systems, strong HVAC knowledge, and excellent written and verbal communication. Travel to local job sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in engineering systems or related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals and HVAC concepts and operations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Mathematical abilities to compute rates, ratios and graphs.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Design: understand HVAC product lines and create pre-job folders and templates; support outside sales.
• Bid: review plans, attend pre-bid walks, generate bid pricing and scope.
• Coordinate Product/Equipment Orders: assist with job setup documentation, hand-offs, submittals, and order entries.
• Training: study product literature and assist with interns.
• Education: ensure bachelor-level qualifications are met and maintained.
