Job summary

Metro Equipment & Sheetmetal, LLC. in Greencastle, PA is seeking a Delivery Driver to safely transport materials, equipment, and HVAC components to construction sites and manufacturing locations. You will operate company vehicles, load and unload items, and ensure accurate and timely deliveries.

The role requires a valid driver's license, a current DOT medical card (or ability to obtain one), and the physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds. A commitment to safety and DOT compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Valid DOT medical card required, or ability to obtain medical certification.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to deliver materials, equipment, and supplies to construction sites, manufacturing facilities, and other designated locations.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload bundles of pipe, sheet metal, ductwork, HVAC components, and other construction-related materials using safe material-handling practices.
• Follow all applicable DOT requirements, traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Perform required vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Ensure loads are properly secured and delivery routes are planned for safe and efficient transportation.
• Maintain assigned vehicles in a clean, organized, and safe condition and maintain required DOT documentation.
• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, supervisors, and construction personnel.
• Wear company-provided PPE and follow all required safety practices while performing deliveries and working at job sites; perform other duties as assigned.
