Job summary

Metro Equipment & Sheetmetal, LLC, part of the McCrea family, is hiring a Delivery Driver to safely transport materials to construction sites and facilities. The role requires operating company vehicles, loading/unloading, and adhering to DOT and safety standards.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM with overtime as needed. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off. Must be at least 21, have a valid driver's license and DOT medical card.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Valid DOT medical card required, or ability to obtain medical certification.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to deliver materials, equipment, and supplies to construction sites, manufacturing facilities, and other designated locations.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload bundles of pipe, sheet metal, ductwork, HVAC components, and other construction-related materials using safe material-handling practices.
• Follow all applicable DOT requirements, traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Perform required vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Ensure loads are properly secured and delivery routes are planned for safe and efficient transportation.
• Maintain assigned vehicles in a clean, organized, and safe condition and maintain required DOT documentation.
• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, supervisors, and construction personnel.
• Wear company-provided PPE and follow all required safety practices while performing deliveries and working at job sites; perform other duties as assigned.
