Job summary

LG Electronics in Farmers Branch, TX is seeking an OEM Compressor Sales Engineer to join the Component Solutions Engineering Team. You will lead technical support and project management between LG and HVACR OEM customers, promoting growth through effective compressor solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 5+ years in HVAC compressor or unit design/manufacturing, strong analytical and communication skills, and readiness to travel ~10% domestically and 1–3 weeks

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in HVAC Compressor Design and Manufacturing, or HVAC UNIT Design and Manufacturing for residential/commercial AC or heat pumps.
• Member of ASHRAE, AHRI and related licenses or certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Search for optimal component pairings for HVAC OEM customers.
• Assist OEM customers in identifying and qualifying compressor opportunities.
• Provide technical or process support to OEM customers during qualification and reliability activities.
• Develop customer business case for new concept solutions.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables for new compressor applications.
• Lead as sales engineer and project team leader with technical competence in specific areas.
• Perform detailed engineering analysis to quantify cost savings or customer benefits.
• Develop submittals/presentations with Performance Information, Component List, Drawings, Vendor data, and Milestones.
• Interface with vendors and factory engineering for critical analysis.
• Participate in trade shows or exhibitions related to LG business.
• Occasional domestic travel (~10%) and international travel (1–3 weeks annually).
