Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks a Component Engineer to lead specifications, validation plans, and DFMEAs for HVAC components. You will drive qualification programs for NPD and VA/VE, while building expertise and aligning roadmaps with product teams across centers.

You will interface with design, operations, and suppliers to ensure timely qualification before mass production and maintain critical agency listings. A BS in engineering and HVAC experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Mechanical component evaluation/design experience is a plus.
• Experience in Residential HVAC products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of component specifications, validation test plans, and DFMEAs for all assigned components.
• Lead complex technical component qualification programs for New Product Development and VA/VE.
• Develop up to date technical expertise for assigned components.
• Align component roadmaps with Product Growth Teams’ plans.
• Direct engineering resources at remote centers on qualification projects.
• Lead quality and field improvement projects related to design and testing.
• Coordinate with customers and suppliers to ensure on-time qualification before mass production.
• Maintain/update agency listings (UL, ETL, CSA, etc.) for assigned components.
