Job summary

ENFRA LLC is seeking a Commissioning Provider to support Energy-as-a-Service projects, focusing on HVAC optimization, performance validation, and energy savings across large multi-site portfolios in higher education and healthcare. You will ensure sequences of operation align with design intent and energy targets, collaborating with engineering, controls, and operations teams.

The role emphasizes design reviews, functional testing, and continuous improvement, with travel 30–50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field, or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• 2+ years of experience in HVAC controls, design, energy management, or other relevant fields.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to interact with owners, owner’s representatives, contractors, engineers and architects professionally to drive project outcomes.
• Knowledge of commercial MEP equipment design and operations.

Responsibilities

• Understand energy optimization and advanced sequences of operation.
• Participate in retro-commissioning and commissioning efforts on assigned projects.
• Participate in design and submittal reviews.
• Develop pre-functional checklists and functional performance tests.
• Attend and/or lead construction and commissioning meetings.
• Execute functional testing as part of the acceptance of construction scope.
• Drive corrective actions when scope or performance gaps are identified.
• Interact with the project team to ensure high quality, functional and optimized systems.
• Understand DDC controls and building automation software.
• Familiarity with commissioning software.
• Demonstrate strong communication and coordination skills.
