Job summary

Freund Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an experienced commercial HVAC technician to maintain and repair HVAC systems in commercial settings.

You will diagnose, service, and advise customers on the best solutions while prioritizing safety, reliability, and comfort. Responsibilities include on-site maintenance, diagnostics, preventative care, electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis, warranty services, and keeping accurate maintenance logs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid TX driver's license.
• EPA certificate preferred.
• Ability to pass background check and drug test.
• Knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to read schematics and work plans.
• Willing to work after hours and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Perform system diagnostics and propose solutions on demand service calls.
• Identify maintenance risks on equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on all types of commercial HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for commercial HVAC systems.
• Inspect and repair systems and perform warranty services.
• Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Provide technical direction and on-the-job training.
• Keep daily logs and records of maintenance functions.
• Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements.
• Assist with customers' queries.

Job description

We are looking to hire an experienced and detail-oriented commercial HVAC technician to maintain and repair HVAC systems. The HVAC technician will be skilled in inspecting and repairing systems. You will guide and advise the customer to select the most appropriate solutions to fulfill their requirements. To be successful in this role, customer satisfaction, safety, and comfort should be your top priority. Diagnose, maintain, and repair various types of commercial HVAC equipment while providing excellent customer service. In addition, ideal candidates will be patient and have excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.

HVAC Technician Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Perform system diagnostics and propose solutions to customers while on-demand service calls.
• Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.

HVAC Technician Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
• Valid TX driver's license.
• EPA certificate (preferred).
• Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Abides by company policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
