Job summary

JRV Home Services is seeking an experienced HVAC Commercial Technician in San Antonio, TX. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining split systems, RTUs, and VRV/VRF equipment. This is not an entry-level position and requires 8+ years of experience with commercial systems.

Qualified candidates will hold an EPA certification, a valid driver's license, and Texas TDLR registration. Some travel is expected as part of this role, with work in diverse environments including

Job Description Position Summary:

The HVAC Commercial Technician will be focusing on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining split systems, rooftop units (RTU’s), and VRV/VRF Equipment. This is NOT an entry-level position. We require 8+ years of experience with commercial systems for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant issues in commercial systems.
• Reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Maintaining and repairing split systems, rooftop units (RTUs) and VRV/VRF Equipment.
• Working with Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems, pneumatics, and Building Automation Systems (BAS).
• Completing preventive maintenance checklists.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Skills and requirements:

• Universal EPA Certification (required for handling refrigerants).

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Technicians often need to climb ladders, bend, kneel, and crouch to access equipment. There is potential exposure to electrical systems, refrigerants, and other hazardous materials requiring the use of safety precautions and protective gear.
