Job summary
Johnson Controls Inc. is seeking skilled HVAC Technicians to service air/water-cooled chillers, industrial chillers, AHUs and large roof-top units.
You’ll be part of a team focused on safety, reliability, and customer success, with factory certification via our STA program and opportunities for advancement. You’ll lead complex repairs, diagnose issues, and provide timely quotes while occasionally traveling 10–20% to support branch startups and commissioning activities across North America.
Qualifications
- Member or willing to join UA Plbg & Pipe Fitting Industry of the US & Canada.
- Experience with start-up, commissioning and aftermarket service.
- Strong troubleshooting for air/water-cooled chillers and large HVAC equipment.
- Able to lead complex repairs or retrofits.
- Licensed for ammonia/hydrocarbon safety and EPA refrigerants.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-level service and solutions at commissioning and aftersales.
- Provide quotes to support recommendations and services.
- Support branch customers with startup and commissioning tasks (10–20% travel).
- Train and mentor other technicians when needed.
- Work with local market mechanics to solve facility inefficiencies.
