Job summary

Maxus Properties in Overland Park, KS, seeks a Maintenance Technician to support multi-property communities. You will handle plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, carpentry, and safety checks, ensuring residents have a safe, well-maintained living environment.

Responsibilities include servicing requests, preparing apartments for tours, inspections, and coordinating with vendors. A valid driver’s license, 1 year of maintenance experience, and HVAC certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Minimum of 1 year facility or property maintenance experience.
• HVAC certification is required.
• Familiarity with Fair Housing and commitment to abiding by all Fair Housing regulations.
• Must pass the Maxus maintenance exam.

Responsibilities

• Track and complete service requests for occupied/vacant apartments, office/clubhouse, and amenities.
• Perform timely repairs including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, lighting, etc.
• Prepare apartments for tour/move-in by conducting lock changes, move-out inspections, trash-out, punch-out, and scheduling vendors when needed.
• Assist with semi-annual property inspections, fire safety, pest control, etc.
• Assist with stock and inventory control and reporting.
• Safely use and maintain tools and equipment (hammer, drill, saw, gauges, etc).
• Complete any additional projects as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
