Job summary

Property Management in Columbus, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a full-time role at one of our apartment communities. Under supervision, you will handle maintenance and repairs across the property, including coordinating projects and responding to urgent issues after hours.

The position emphasizes skilled trades in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpentry and masonry, with emphasis on safety, training, and opportunities for advancement within a promote-from-within culture.

Qualifications

• Maintenance technicians with skilled advanced trade experiences and a commitment to apply their best in a fast-moving environment.
• Through training, coaching and continued education we develop our maintenance technicians to become the best in the industry.
• HVAC certified having knowledge on systems and ability to maintain, repair and replace HVAC systems.
• Responds to emergency situations and maintains safety protocols on site.

Responsibilities

• Make ready units for new move-ins.
• Complete grounds work such as general cleanup, light landscaping and breezeway maintenance.
• Coordinates with Maintenance Supervisor to complete projects and work orders efficiently.
• Performs minor electrical maintenance and replacement of fixtures using hand, power and specialty tools.
• Performs minor plumbing maintenance including leaks and faucet work.
• Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry tasks.
• Schedule and complete preventative maintenance programs.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals for maintenance and service.
