Auer Steel & Heating Supply Co. is hiring a CAD Operator for our Milwaukee, WI location. The role focuses on drafting HVAC plans, piping and control diagrams, with supervision from a Design Engineer or Salesperson.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in CAD or HVAC or 1–2 years equivalent experience in AutoCAD or other 2D modeling systems.

Responsibilities

• Draft HVAC plans, piping diagrams, control diagrams and refrigeration diagrams under the direct supervision of the Design Engineer or Salesperson.
• Backup Design Engineers in their absence to answer customer questions.
• Prepare plans, loads and appropriate paperwork for submittal to local and State agencies.
• Prepare inspection packets for all submitted design projects.
• Travel to architects, contractors or government agencies to pick up or drop off plans.
