Job summary

Safe Air Dowco, a Nailor Industries, Inc. company, is seeking a CAD Designer/Drafter to create 3D models of new and modified sheet metal designs for documentation and design engineering purposes.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of relevant experience, an AA degree or equivalent, and proficiency in MS Office; Solid Edge is preferred. This on-site Chicago position involves collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school.
• Working knowledge of MS Office products.

Responsibilities

• Creating 3D models of new/modified sheet metal designs for documentation in Design Engineering.
• Checking drawing packages for proper layout and dimensioning.
• Reviewing sales order documentation and supporting one or more product lines.
• Participating in design teams with engineers and other departments; interfacing with manufacturing as required.
• Duties occasionally include building prototypes for new engineering designs.
• Completing Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and using databases to manage technical documentation.
