Job summary

Design Heating and Air Conditioning in San Jose, CA seeks an Engineering/Design team member capable of working independently and coordinating with the design team and trades. Responsibilities include AutoCAD drawings, submittals, take-offs, plan updates, and city permit processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (not required).
• Extensive training will be provided for drafting and submittals.
• Ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail.
• Must pass background, DMV record check and drug test as needed.

Responsibilities

• Create construction drawings using AutoCAD.
• Create submittal packages for projects.
• Verify take-off changes from the field and update plans.
• Assist in submitting plans and correcting redlines.
• Ensure compliance with city and county codes.
• Obtain required city permits for projects.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve project challenges.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
