Job summary

AECOM seeks a Mechanical Engineer II in Atlanta, GA to design HVAC systems for government and commercial buildings, gathering data, performing calculations, and developing HVAC designs with guidance from senior engineers.

You will use AutoCAD and Revit, contribute to project documentation, attend client meetings, and coordinate with other disciplines. A BS in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering with at least two years of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with two years of relevant experience.
• AutoCAD and Revit experience.
• Experience with HVAC design for buildings, including chilled/hot water, and energy use.
• Knowledge/experience with International Building Codes (IBC).
• Three (3) or more years of professional experience designing HVAC systems.
• Relocation not available; Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office is required.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established procedures.
• Performs calculations and tests for HVAC design, coordinating with senior staff.
• Develops HVAC system designs for government and commercial buildings.
• Coordinates HVAC with other disciplines and prepares project documentation.
• Attends internal and client meetings to support project delivery.
