Job summary

Olympia Development of Michigan is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and building management systems in our facilities.

You will execute scheduled maintenance, diagnose issues, read blueprints, and work with BAS platforms. This role requires EPA HVAC/R certification, a strong safety mindset, and ability to work overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R degree with EPA certification and 5 years of experience in building systems.
• Strong diagnostic skills and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to read, write, and understand complex directions.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and technical documents.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well with a diverse team.
• Willingness to work overtime if needed.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a professional appearance and safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and building management systems.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local codes.
• Plan and prioritize maintenance work with facilities team.
• Use BAS platforms to monitor and maintain equipment.
• Update sequences of operations to optimize equipment performance.
• Respond to alarms and building automation events.
• Identify root causes and perform repairs with appropriate tools.
• Maintain a safe work environment and report safety concerns promptly.
• Utilize maintenance software to prioritize work orders and execute them for events.
• Assist in developing standard operating procedures.
