Job summary

Island Palm Communities in Hawaii is seeking a General Maintenance Technician - HVAC Specialist to service rental units, offices, and common areas. The role focuses on HVAC repair, preventive maintenance, and on-call emergency responses.

You will troubleshoot electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks, update work orders on mobile devices, and maintain tools and vehicles. A high school diploma and a valid HVAC license are required; 1-3 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Vocational or technical training preferred
• HVAC license/certification required
• 1–3 years experience in HVAC field preferred
• Must be able to read and follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
• Proficient in basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical tasks

Responsibilities

• Repair, troubleshooting and replacement of HVAC systems and parts.
• Respond to service calls, complete COM work and other maintenance tasks including painting, cleaning, and lawn maintenance.
• Update work order status with time, materials and notes on mobile devices; keep supervisor informed.
• Maintain vehicle and vehicle inventory as prescribed.
• Ensure work is performed safely and yields favorable customer feedback.
