Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. seeks an experienced HVAC technician for a GMP-regulated campus in Lexington, MA. You will operate, maintain, troubleshoot and optimize complex building systems to support state-of-the-art life sciences research.

This hands-on role involves preventive maintenance, system testing and repairs, with travel between Lexington, Cambridge and North Reading using a company vehicle. A strong focus on safety and compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on operation and maintenance of complex HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems in GMP facilities.
• Perform preventive maintenance, tests and repairs to keep facilities safe, compliant and efficient.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and propose effective modifications.

Responsibilities

• Assign tasks to team members and ensure timely completion.
• Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain HVAC/R control systems, including calibration.
• Inspect HVAC equipment and ensure proper operation and code compliance.
• Troubleshoot failures and identify best modification actions.
• Share knowledge and coach others across multiple disciplines within the function.
• Lead by example and promote CBRE's RISE values.
• Support a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within the team.
• Respond to Work Orders in a CMMS.
• Work within broad guidelines and policies.
• Explain difficult or sensitive information.

What You’ll Do:

• Assign tasks to team members. Ensure all duties are done in a timely manner.
• Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment, including calibration of related instruments, gauges, and control components.
• Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
