Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school with 1–2 years of job‑related experience; combination of experience and education considered in lieu of diploma.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • EPA Universal Certificate.
  • Meet physical requirements (stooping, standing, walking, stairs/ladders, lifting 50 lbs+).
  • Follow basic work routines and standards.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

As a key member of CBRE's Engineering & Technical Services team, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial HVAC and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance across office, laboratory, and research spaces. Schedule: Monday–Friday 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (2nd Shift)


Location: Cambridge, MA


Incentive: $2,000 Sign-On Bonus available for qualified candidates.


What You'll Do


  • Install, repair, adjust, and maintain small electric or pneumatic control systems used for building. This includes heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment.

  • Conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.

  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine best course of action for equipment modifications.

  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.

  • Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.

  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.


What You'll Need


  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job‑related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Valid driver's license required.

  • EPA Universal Certificate

  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.

  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc

  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
