Job summary

Sora Resource Group in Rocky Hill, CT is seeking an experienced HVAC Building Controls Application Engineer to design, program, and commission commercial building automation and HVAC control systems.

You will develop control sequences, configure systems, and support field teams through startup and turnover, with opportunities for growth into engineering and system design.

The role requires BAS/BMS experience, project coordination, and the ability to travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related technical discipline plus 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
• Knowledge of the commercial HVAC industry and BAS/BMS concepts.
• Ability to read and develop technical drawings, schematics, sequences, and system documentation.
• Experience with low-voltage building systems and controls wiring.
• Strong communication skills with field personnel and customers.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure commercial HVAC building automation and control systems per project docs.
• Develop control drawings, sequences of operation, bill of materials, network layouts, and schematics.
• Program and test BAS software to meet project requirements.
• Coordinate drawings, equipment schedules, submittals, and installation docs.
• Travel to customer sites as required and support commissioning activities.
