Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced HVAC Building Controls Application Engineer in Rocky Hill, CT to design, program, configure, commission, and troubleshoot commercial BAS/BMS systems.

The role involves developing complete building control solutions, coordinating with field teams, customers, and subcontractors while ensuring adherence to project specs and schedules. Travel to sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related technical discipline with 2+ years of experience, or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of the commercial HVAC industry and BAS/BMS concepts.
• Ability to read and develop technical drawings, schematics, sequences, and system documentation.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• Experience with low-voltage building systems and controls wiring.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure commercial HVAC building automation and control systems per project specs.
• Develop control drawings, flow diagrams, sequences of operation, BOMs, network layouts, and electrical schematics.
• Configure and test software/programming for building control systems.
• Coordinate drawings, equipment schedules, submittals, and installation documentation.
• Travel to customer/project sites and coordinate with field crews to ensure proper operation.
• Provide field-change information for as-built drawings and final software docs.
• Support project turnover with engineering and field teams.
