Qualifications

• Experience in multifamily HVAC installation or construction management.
• Ability to read construction plans and specifications.

• Must be able to perform physical job duties, including lifting 50 pounds or more, climbing ladders, and working in active construction environments.

Job Summary

The Multifamily Assistant Project Manager oversees daily field operations to ensure multifamily HVAC projects are completed efficiently, on schedule, and in compliance with company quality standards. This role acts as the primary liaison between field crews, general contractors, company office staff, and inspection departments while coordinating materials, jobsite logistics, inspections, and workflow to keep projects running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of HVAC subcontractor crews on multifamily construction projects
• Serve as the primary point of communication between field crews, general contractors, company office staff, and inspectors
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical plans, and project specifications
• Coordinate workflow to ensure installations are completed according to plans and project timelines
• Order, track, deliver, and manage materials needed for job completion
• Maintain inventory of job materials and ensure crews have necessary equipment and supplies
• Perform quality control inspections to ensure installations meet company standards and code requirements
• Walk jobs with city/county inspectors and address inspection requirements or corrections
• Identify potential project delays, installation issues, or material shortages and proactively resolve them
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and jobsite requirements
• Document project progress and communicate updates to office management
• Assist in scheduling inspections and coordinating required corrections when needed
• Support field crews with troubleshooting and operational guidance to keep projects moving smoothly
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Experience in multifamily HVAC installation or construction management
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, installation practices, and code requirements
• Ability to read construction plans and specifications
• Strong communication skills with contractors, inspectors, office staff, and field crews
• Organizational skills for managing multiple projects, materials, and timelines
• Must be able to perform physical job duties, including lifting 50 pounds or more, climbing ladders, and working in active construction environments
• Problem-solving ability in fast-paced construction environments
• Valid driver’s license

Technical Skills

• Proficient in email communication and general technology use
• Ability to learn company software systems and digital reporting tools

Qualifications

• Leadership or crew management experience
• Experience working on multifamily construction projects
• OSHA certification ()
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with Procore
