Job summary

Trane Technologies in Grand Rapids is seeking an Assembler for 1st shift to perform high-level repetitive assembly of HVAC components in a manufacturing setting. You will follow DFT methods, read diagrams, operate tools, and maintain safety.

The role requires use of measuring devices, basic math, lifting up to 50 pounds, and teamwork. Hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm; on-site role with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• One year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience using hand and power tools including wrenches, sockets, hammers, tape measures, crimpers, cutters, and steel banding.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a seated or standing position while following safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive progressive line assembly of parts and sub-assemblies.
• Read and follow method sheets and assembly diagrams; operate machines and presses as required.
• Use measuring devices (tape measures, levels) to ensure dimensions.
• Load/unload units onto conveyors and carts; maintain cleanliness of area.
