Job summary

Trane Technologies in California is seeking an HVAC Technician Apprentice to support installation and repair work at customer sites, enrolled in a four-year, nationally registered TAP program with paid instruction and on-the-job training.

The program offers mentorship, access to latest technology, potential for growth, and progression toward a nationally recognized credential upon completion.

Qualifications

• No industry experience required.
• Technical school certificates and/or formal HVAC training/experience is not required but will be considered when determining proficiency level for the program and starting compensation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age when you start on day 1.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist seasoned Service Technicians in the installation and repair of HVAC systems at customer locations.
• Deliver parts and tools to service job sites.
• Under the direction from Service Team Lead, assist in minor maintenance of tools and shop equipment.
• May be required to use a variety of small hand tools to repair warehouse equipment or vehicles.
• Maintain shop/warehouse and ensure MSDS compliance with all chemicals stored in shop/warehouse; keep records of chemicals for waste disposal.
• Log and track large tools and equipment to and from job sites and log repairs.
