Job summary

Engineering Excellence is seeking HVAC apprentices to perform equipment maintenance and assist with service repairs under supervision. You will document work hours, assist with calls, and help ensure customer satisfaction while following safety protocols.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with HVAC training, EPA/safety certifications, and a valid driver’s license. Position involves lifting, climbing, and flexible hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with additional training and 0 to 2 years’ experience in HVAC with technical training certification preferred
• Must possess all valid licensing or certification as required by federal, state, provincial, or local governmental laws or regulations for the geographical work area
• EPA and safety certifications required
• Basic knowledge of HVAC fundamentals and related accessories
• Proficient with tools and equipment to perform service projects

Responsibilities

• Works under general supervision to perform maintenance calls
• Performs routine precision tune-ups and maintenance on HVAC equipment and accessories
• Inspects and performs limited diagnostics to prevent breakdowns or callbacks
• Completes routine maintenance and equipment cleaning
• Responsible for delivery and removal of parts and equipment
• Assists Service Technician in servicing HVAC equipment
• Records information on a handheld device and completes paperwork accurately
• Communicates with dispatch for status updates
• Promotes products and services to customers and reports leads
• Ensures company property and tools are properly used and maintained
• Represents the company professionally and ethically
• Follows procedures and keeps the company vehicle stocked
• Performs similar duties as needed
