Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking motivated HVAC apprentices to learn on the job at client sites. You will receive certified training through the Service Technical Academy and develop skills to service and troubleshoot mechanical HVAC equipment.

This bargaining unit role offers hands-on experience, potential advancement, and a pathway to certifications while working with a team focused on safety and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience servicing mechanical HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems and facilities management.
• Willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry.
• Valid driver’s license and a strong safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Apprentices will be trained and will perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.
• Participate in certified training through Service Technical Academy for skill development.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and customer needs with guidance.
• Keep stakeholders informed about job progress and issues as needed.
• Meet attendance requirements for required Union training in the first year.
• Provide recommendations to improve facility efficiency and upsell where appropriate.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
