Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn HVAC installation, service, maintenance, and repair procedures.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under the direction of journeyman-level technicians and supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction or HVAC is a plus but not required
• Familiarity with HVAC tools, equipment, materials, and terminology.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, refrigeration principles, ductwork, and/or HVAC controls.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, or construction drawings.

Work Conditions & Requirements:

• Ability to reach horizontal and overhead.
• Ability to stand, walk, and balance for 6-8 hours a day.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 10 pounds for 6-8 hours a day.
• Ability to work around moving machinery and equipment.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions including hot and cold temperatures.
• May include exposure to heat, humidity, cold, chemicals, hazardous waste, and airborne agents.
