Job summary

CCI Mechanical in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an HVAC Applied Chiller Technician to diagnose, service, and overhaul centrifugal and air‑cooled chillers. You’ll represent the CCI brand directly with customers, ensuring exceptional service and reliable system performance.

With more than 300 skilled professionals across design, fabrication, installation, and service, we deliver high‑performance HVAC, plumbing, and automation systems for major commercial and industrial clients.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of HVAC facility maintenance experience.
  • EPA Universal CFC certification required.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license to operate company vehicle.
  • UA Journeyman card is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with BAS systems and energy management controls.
  • Knowledge of centrifugal chillers and broad HVAC/mechanical systems.
  • Strong organization and time‑management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, service, and overhaul centrifugal and air‑cooled chillers.
  • Represent CCI to customers, ensuring exceptional service and reliability.
  • Lead on servicing HVAC systems and coordinating with the service team.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul chillers, pumps, and cooling towers.
  • Support HVAC service needs for commercial and industrial facilities.
  • Build strong, professional relationships with customers and facility representatives.
  • Perform routine maintenance on chillers, towers, pumps, and air‑handling equipment.
  • Use advanced tools, technologies, and engineering specifications to diagnose issues.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by accurately identifying and resolving equipment problems.

What You’ll Do

As an HVAC Applied Chiller Technician at CCI, you’ll take the lead on diagnosing, servicing, and overhauling centrifugal and air‑cooled chillers. You’ll represent the CCI brand directly with customers, ensuring exceptional service and reliable system performance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Physical Demands

This role requires regular standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and lifting equipment up to 75 lbs. Vision abilities must include close, distance, color, and depth perception.
