Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Facilities Engineering Refrigeration HVAC Technician 3 to provide maintenance, repair and support for refrigeration, HVAC and associated equipment at assigned Kroger stores in the Cincinnati area. The role requires travel to multiple store locations, diagnostics, preventive maintenance and safe operation of equipment.

You must have 3–5 years of refrigeration/HVAC experience, EPA Type 2 certification and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Experience reading engineering drawings, manuals and schematics.
• Supervisor experience.
• 3-5 years' proven refrigeration/HVAC experience and satisfactory overall performance.
• EPA Type 2 Certification.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to use control manufacturers' software.
• Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Drive independently to stores on a daily basis as assigned.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and procedures.
• Perform repairs to HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of parts.
• Operate equipment and vehicles safely.
• Communicate with store personnel about equipment use and safety.
• Document repair labor, parts and usage in a timely manner.
