Job summary

Kroger is seeking an entry-level Facility Engineering assistant to support maintenance across electrical, mechanical, refrigeration/HVAC, and specialty trades. You will help with preventive tasks, repairs, and parts management, while gaining hands-on experience across Kroger stores.

Ideal candidates will have vocational school training, a high school diploma, EPA Type 1 certification, and a valid driver’s license. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and overtime is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to use standard office software.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing preventive maintenance on buildings and equipment.
• Develop troubleshooting and repair skills for HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, or related trades.
• Maintain organized inventory of parts and proper documentation of repairs.
• Drive to stores daily and operate service vehicles safely.
• Assist with repairs and support to service calls as needed.
