Job summary

Custom Air Products & Services, Inc. (CAPS) seeks a Mechanical 3D Modeling Designer to develop production-ready 3D models for custom HVAC equipment using Autodesk Inventor. You will design ductwork, select components, and collaborate with engineering and production to ensure manufacturability.

Responsibilities include creating BOMs, producing detailed drawings, and coordinating revisions to meet project specs. Office suite skills and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in mechanical design, preferably HVAC.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (required).
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and layout.
• Ability to read architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and designs for HVAC equipment using Inventor.
• Design, route, and size ductwork based on airflow requirements.
• Integrate HVAC components (compressors, coils, fans) into layouts.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for projects.
• Produce detailed drawings for ducts and system components.
