Job summary

Rosendin’s HV Project Engineer role oversees Substation and Transmission Line designs from a technical engineering perspective, ensuring compliance with IEEE/ANSI standards, applicable codes, and the scope of work.

The HV Project Engineer should review SLDs/layouts, perform studies (ampacity, protection coordination, harmonics, transients), and coordinate with subcontractors and the project team to deliver robust, cost-conscious designs.

Qualifications

• Must have a four-year engineering degree from an accredited university or college.
• 2–4 years of electrical engineering design or related experience.
• PE or EIT is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with teams.
• Working knowledge of IEEE standards and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design teams and coordinate with subcontractors on project scope.
• Review submittals and coordinate with the Engineer of Record.
• Generate electrical specifications and sequence of operations.
• Lead design reviews, field surveys, and value engineering efforts.
• Interface with client, architect, vendors, and other trades.
