Asplundh's North American Substation Services (NASS) seeks a Field Service Test Technician II to perform substation testing and transformer tests. This entry-level role provides guidance from experienced technicians, prioritizing safety and reliability.

You will read drawings, assist grounding, set up test equipment, and conduct insulation resistance, contact resistance, oil sampling, and ratio tests during fieldwork across the United States.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required; electrical maintenance coursework is preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical theory related to transformers and substations.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and prints is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic transformer and circuit breaker tests (Insulation Resistance, Contact Resistance, Ratio tests).
• Read and interpret drawings and diagrams for test procedures.
• Assist with grounding, clearance, and LOTO processes; set up testing equipment.
• Maintain safety and follow company policies; participate in safety trainings.
